B2C Sales & Activations Associate
Turn bus-stop curiosity into signed-up riders.
Commuit exists to make daily commuting predictable, safe, and dignified for working professionals in Accra. We are not a bus-hailing app — we are a guaranteed-seat subscription service. Our B2B engine fills the base of every bus; our B2C engine fills the rest and proves demand on new routes. We need a hands-on field associate who can turn curiosity at a bus stop into a signed-up rider by the end of the day.
You are the face of Commuit on the ground. When we run a pilot on a new route, you are there at the pickup point with a branded vest, a sign-up process, and an energy that makes tired commuters stop and listen. You will run activations at corporate offices, onboard new riders, collect payments, and work closely with the operations team to make sure every bus that departs is as full as possible. This is not a desk role — you will be at bus stops, office parks, and on the bus itself. Your mission is straightforward: turn awareness into subscriptions, one rider at a time.
Pilot Execution & Demo Bus Management
- ›Lead the on-ground execution of B2C pilots: coordinate with operations on scheduling, set up at corporate offices and public pickup points, and manage the rider experience during trial periods.
- ›Be physically present at launch locations during morning and evening peaks to guide riders, answer questions, and manage check-in.
- ›Collect real-time feedback during pilots and relay insights to the marketing and operations teams.
Direct Customer Acquisition
- ›Convert walk-up and referred prospects into paying subscribers through face-to-face engagement at bus stops, office parks, and community hubs.
- ›Understand each commuter's current pain and explain how Commuit solves it — clearly, quickly, and without pressure.
- ›Hit weekly and monthly targets for new subscribers signed and seats filled per route.
Activations & Office Set-ups
- ›Plan and execute activations at target companies — branded table, flyers, quick information sessions, and on-the-spot sign-ups.
- ›Coordinate with office admin and HR teams for access, timing, and internal promotion of each activation.
- ›Work alongside the B2B Sales Associate where a company arrangement calls for individual employee subscriptions.
Rider Onboarding & Retention
- ›Personally onboard every new subscriber: how to check in, how payment works, and what to expect on day one.
- ›Ride with new subscribers on their first trip where possible to ensure a smooth experience.
- ›Follow up after three days and one week to confirm satisfaction and address concerns before they become churn.
Payment Collection & Record-Keeping
- ›Guide riders through the payment process and confirm completion before a seat is counted as filled.
- ›Track daily sign-ups, payments received, and pending subscriptions in the designated tracker.
- ›Follow up on incomplete payments within 24 hours — an unpaid seat is a missed opportunity.
Operations Support & Brand Ambassadorship
- ›Communicate rider feedback on pickup times, stop locations, and driver behaviour directly to the ops team for continuous improvement.
- ›Assist with on-ground rider check-in during peak hours when the operations team needs support.
- ›Represent the Commuit brand in every public interaction — dress, language, punctuality, and product knowledge are all part of the role.
A people person with hustle. You can start a conversation with a stranger at a bus stop and make them feel heard, not sold to. You enjoy the human side of this work.
Rejection-proof. You hear 'I am fine with trotro' and you smile, because you know by Friday they will be tired of standing in the sun. A no today is a follow-up tomorrow.
Physically present and energetic. Early mornings, Accra heat, long hours on your feet — none of that deters you. You understand that showing up consistently is half the job.
Detail-oriented. You remember names, track every sign-up, and never leave a rider's question unanswered. The records you keep feed decisions the whole team relies on.
Goal-driven but human. You care about your numbers, but you care more about the rider who just told you she now gets home in time to help her children with homework. That is what keeps you going.
